I would always say while going through things is: something good will come of this. I'd held on too long.

I'll take "Remain Numb" over "Remain Stuck" any day of the week.

Keep em' coming.

EvaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8895543561579893807.post-207598955999341192010-03-12T14:27:51.281-06:002010-03-12T14:27:51.281-06:00Jean, Your writing demands more than one read. I ...Jean, Your writing demands more than one read. I find myself going back to read your stories again, just so that I don't miss anything. I can also relate so well to your valentine's story - both the romantic weekend with the-one-who-wasn't-meant-to-be, and the discounted, post-holiday, red-cellophane wrapped chocolates sitting forlornly in a cart marked "50% off."
As always, thanks for sharing!
And Linda, I must say, your "I am Mrs" line drove straight to my heart. Boy, oh boy, have I felt that one. Sometimes the words that come out on the page surprise even the creator (sometimes not!). Not so wasted tears - they made us who we are today. : )Beth M. I wrote an assignment and turned in a poem for a college writing class years ago, and the prof., an old hippie dude, called me in to make sure I was okay because of my first response to List Ten "I Ams".
I wrote I am Mrs. and I wish I were Miss. Then I turned in this poem:
Chocolate Easter rabbits wrapped in pretty cellophane sit on shelves
reduced, enticing
passersby to poke
the yummy bunnies' tummys just to see
if they're solid through and through,
or hollow, just like me.

All those wasted tears and years! Wishing you less stress and more happiness.Linda O'Connellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15982895073903619018noreply@blogger.com
